MAN TECHNIQUES

OFF MAN

ALIGNMENT:                       7-9 yards Head-up weave to inside/outside shade

KEY:                                      QB for 3-steps to receiver

RESPONSIBILITY:             prevent reception  (interception / PBU) Attitude

-                     If you get a 3-step read from QB, plant and drive
-                     Know your cushion area (area where a WR causes you to snap ur hips open) 4                           4  yards,  3 yards, etc… depends on WR speed
-                     Always have a smooth backpedal, with 100% concentration on the WR break  o                               or pivot point
-                     Maintain intended leverage  inside or outside by weaving your pedal

      *          The Only Thing that Should Cause You to Plant and Drive:

-                     Receiver’s pivot foot or torso, shoulders, and hip sink
-                     Use angle rules for cut-off points
-                     Nothing else should stop you from backpedaling…. e.g. head fakes, shoulder er                              feet and hand fakes
